How long have you been skateboarding?
At this moment, something around 14 years
How long have you been involved with Clockwise Skateshop?
Clockwise godfather Mārcis Ruiķis approached me with a deal in the spring of 2016.
So you’re the big boss man around here now?
Haha, I guess you can say that. I am really happy with how things are going and how the shop and customer base is growing since I started.
How often do you skate these days?
I skate quite often. I would say 3 to 4 days a week on average. Due to my work at Clockwise Skateshop, G-Tiim skatepark and Rīgas Skeitborda skola I don’t have as much time to skate in the streets and film tricks as I would like to. But I’m not complaining hah.
What are your favorite skateboarders right now?
In Latvian scene I would say Clockwise riders are definitely pushing skateboarding to new heights here. Madars is killing it all around the world. It is nice to see all the G-Tiim crew guys that still skate. Always seeing some OG riders like Rūdolfs Henčels, Kārlis Ezermalis or Rūdolfs Baltiņš skateboaring these days gets me hyped!
What is the best thing about skateboarding?
That you can always learn something new and push yourself in different ways. Also the whole skateboarding community is great and most of the events and competitions are really fun!
Hard to tell, ask me in a few years
Clockwise Skateshop is:
The one true skateboarder owned and operated skateshop in Latvia. Real recognize real.
